Bridge-Building
Community gatherings that connect people across differences.
I’m driven to help people better understand themselves and the world around them and I love “setting the table” for a great conversation. I embrace uncomfortable topics and I’m especially interested in engaging White individuals who want to more actively participate in the cause of racial justice. Tell me what your group wants to talk about, and I will help you unpack it in a way that engages and inspires.
Formats include: Panels, keynotes, podcasts, webinars, small group discussions, Q&As, live storytelling
Topics include: Mindful Empathy™, Storytelling 101 for Nonprofits, Mindful Antiracism
Past audiences include: Software engineers, church congregations, marketing professionals, architects, rotary club members, activists, music teachers, legal professionals, neighborhood groups, nonprofit executives, students, photographers, social workers, librarians
Past appearances include: TEDxEdina, United Way Gala, Humphrey School of Public Affairs, Ignite Minneapolis, Hennepin History Museum, Rochester Art Center, CreativeMornings Minneapolis, and Hennepin County Library’s “Talk of the Stacks.”
“I had been wondering how to utilize my skills, empathy, and abilities to combat racism. I hadn’t seen opportunities other than attending protests. But now I feel powerful. I know I can help make fundamental change. Thank you for your passion and facilitation skills (push, pull, make us think). Every White woman should attend a group like this.”
